We back up start up with strong founding teams that drive result and outcome leading with clarity and accountability. This means getting the right people in the right positions and empowering them to do what needs to be done to achieve the mission. We tend to avoid startups with teams that lack credibility, passion, desire, unwavering commitment and determination to execute on their vision.
Ideally, we invest in startups generating at least $ 3,143,53 or R 50,000,00 in monthly revenue and can show 6 months to 1 year of consistent revenue growth with the ability to obtain feedback and reviews from early customers.
We invest in startups that have yet to raise their Series A doing so will enable us to capture adequate ownership at a reasonable valuation thus minimizing dilution from subsequent funding rounds and creating greater and long term value for our stakeholders. Furthermore, we will only invest in startups where founders have granted us pro- rata rights allowing us to support the organization long term while maintaining our equity percentage in
follow on rounds.
We invest in startups where founders have a clear focus and appreciation for capital efficiency. The company should show early evidence and the path to profitability and sustainability has to be clear. This will then increase company attractiveness for future funding from VC’s or acquisitions at a significant markup.
We invest in highly disruptive tech startups solving pressing and real-time problems in African emerging markets. An emerging market does it presents problems, opportunities and also Smart Returns for Investors.
